We would like to inform you of an opportunity to participate in a study examining the types of emotions students experience at university. In particular we are interested in the types of emotions learners feel in relation to their learning activities, when they experience such emotions, and in which contexts.
What you will gain: Participants will have the opportunity to become conscious about their and their peers’ emotions within academic settings, and how they can regulate themselves in tense situations. Participants will also be provided the findings of the study.
Participants: undergraduate students at McGill University in the area of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Participants must be 18+ years of age.
What is involved in participating: If you agree to participate, you will be asked a set of questions that cover basic demographic characteristics such as your age, gender, and major and you will be interviewed about the types of emotions experienced during a regular school week.
This research is supervised by Professor Susanne Lajoie (Susanne.lajoie@mcgill.ca) of the Educational and Counselling Psychology Department at McGill University.
