Do you want to earn $10 in a listening experiment?
The Music Perception and Cognition Lab is looking for musicians with university-level ear training (e.g. MUSP 140/141). You should have no hearing problems and not be on any medication that affects wakefulness. The Timbre and Interval Rating Study involves rating the perceptual quality of various harmonic pitch intervals, and takes around 30 min. ~ 1 hour to complete. You will also be required to fill out a demographic questionnaire at the end of the session.
There are no risks associated with this research, which has been certified by the review ethics board and is supervised by Prof. McAdams at McGill University. Your confidentiality and anonymity for serving in this experiment will be protected. If you are interested, please contact timbrepitchintervals@gmail.com.
