Researchers in McGill University’s Department of Psychiatry are conducting a study investigating the brain mechanisms involved in sensitization to amphetamine in healthy, medication free, men and women (age 20-40). The study involves an interview, a medical exam, the administration of a drug (dextro-amphetamine), and four brain imaging scans (2 with positron emission tomography [PET], 2 with Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy [MRS]). Participants will be compensated for their time and inconveniences. The principal investigator is Dr. Benkelfat.
