Concordia and Dalhousie research study on personality and drinking

Concordia University and Dalhousie University are seeking participants for a research study, titled “Personality and Drinking: A 21-day Diary Study.”

Specifically, we are seeking individuals who are (a) between the ages of 18 and 25 years old; (b) who have had at least 12 alcoholic drinks in the past year; (c) and have access to the Internet at home. You will not receive compensation if you do not meet these criteria.

If you meet these criteria, you are invited to participate in a research study conducted by Dr. Sean Mackinnon (Dalhousie University) and Dr. Roisin O’Connor (Concordia University). This study has been reviewed by the Concordia and Dalhousie Social Sciences and Humanities Research Ethics Board (ethics approval #2016-3960).

You will be asked to fill out questionnaires online once a day in a 21 day period. Each participant will receive either: $2/day worth of Amazon gift certificates for each day of diary completion to a maximum of $42 for 21 days OR a combination of Psychology (Concordia or Dalhousie students only) bonus points (1 bonus credit for every 5 days of diary completion to a maximum of 3 bonus credits for 15 days of diary completion) AND Amazon gift certificates (worth $2/day for each of days 16-21 of diary completion). Completing the questionnaires will take about 15 minutes per day.
