Transfer of Lease

I have lived in this apartment for 25 years, and that is why the rent is so low. The building was sold two years ago, and is currently being renovated. Apartments that are smaller than mine are being rented for $1,600/month or more. My apartment is a 3.5 but is really larger than many 4.5 apartments.

There is 24 -hour doorman and a depanneur in the building. The building is extremely quiet. It is less than a five minute walk to the McGill medical, law and education building.

I am selling my furniture for $3,500. Preference will be given to those who will buy the furniture. You will have to be approved by the building for the Lease Transfer and as such must have very good credit. There is a cost for the lease transfer, I will have to find out what it is, and you will have to pay that cost. (It is probably around $150-$200.)

It is an excellent deal for anyone wishing to live in downtown or to attend McGill. I used to get a roommate for years, as the apartment is large enough to easily accommodate two individuals.

Please tell me a little about yourself and when you wish to move in.
